You honestly have vehicles that after the first 100k, or 9-12 years old and they are rusty to the point of being dangerous? Do you ever wash them? IF I owned a 12 year old vehicle and the axle rusted through, I would be pi$$ed off as hell. I live in Wisconsin, lots of salt on the roads here, and I have never heard of an axle failure due to rust. I have heard of cab mounts, spring shackles and such rusting out. Ford rangers have a problem of rusting the frame out by the fuel tank but they at least go 20 years and 200k. Wasnt the whole tire pressure on an Explore something that ford did that the firestone did not approve of?
