sediment will aso collect at a angle ,,if for whatver modification reason the machine will not allow installation at the tank , simply instal right before carburator or someplace else in line at a level location ,, i recall (perhaps JD3010) had the sedimentbulb right off the lift pump upside dn ,served little purpose except to see that you had flow ,. worked ok because the tank had a water trap drain ,, JD IDEA is something other rainbow of color makes could had embraced to make life easier .. ..
