Heard about this on the news over the week end. It was started by a teenager who loves to hunt, but wouldn't waste meat. Now its just about nation wide.
Here's how it works, when folks who love to hunt have all the meat they want, they can continue to take game (up to the legal limit) and donate the meat. Many food banks, the Salvation Army, Veterans of America, etc. gladly accept the packaged meat.
Some of the chapters will help pay processing costs and then deliver the meat to organizations on their lists.
