That is indeed a JD No 5 sickle mower. It is the older of two basic versions. Can be ID'ed by the kick stand (versus later jack stand) and the older style PTO shaft. When set up properly, they will do a great job. Basic wear parts such as new knives and pitman sticks are readily available. Yours has the clamps that fit the round bar attachments.
