Yep, I believe that's the distinction.
I made the mistake of trying to store my little Allmand backhoe in one stall of my wife's horse barn. We have 7 stalls, and have had up to 14 horses in various combinations. Now down to 7, and suddenly, no one can get along with anybody, so she has to have her 7th stall back.
But she's been living with me long enough to know you can't just drop stuff like that on me "cold"- so she re-arranged my junk in the machine shed to make room. So I growled a little, but didn't bark.
