One time I went to a big consignment sale and bid up about half a dozen feed mills. All the mills were going so darn high, I was kind of relieved I didn't get one with some of my bids, but my mill at home was on its last leg so I kept at it. The sale was winding down and there was one late arrival feed mill in the line. It was the same model that I had just bid up to over $1200 earlier. Started the bidding at $1000, no takers, $750, no takers, $500 so I start the bidding and NOBODY BID AGAINST ME! Maybe I should have held out longer :) Sales can be strange sometimes.
