Around here the same restrictions apply to campers as do house trailers. They have to be on slabs, ancored down, skirted, and have plumbing and an acceptable sewer system. Several local towns have adopted a minimum sq.ft regulation 800sq ft. I believe. There are a lot of people here that are building or rebuilding old homes on their own and living in campers. Code enforcment is really cracking down on them, if they arn't code compliant. Several that I have run across poured a slab for the garage or out building and parked their camper on it. They completed the sewer system to code and hooked to it, and hooked to their well. Only drawback they are paying property tax om their camper now because it clasifies as a residence. We also have a lot of "sun birds" who stay in their motor homes in Florida all winter, and then drive it up to their" little peice of paradise" here for the summer. This is a pretty sticky issue. Some towns sort of overlook them and some are really cracking down. Sewerage is the biggest issue, because of our many streams ponds and lakes. Many residential systems have to be engineered raised bed systems or storage pump systems.
