Last weekend I went for a drive with my Dad and we crossed the Condamine river. It has been flowing for nearly a month and it is incredible to think that water may end up running into the mouth of the Murray river in South Australia. The way the weather has been it might just make it. The river rises near Killarney in Queensland & changes it's name several times as it goes down, usually at a juction. It winds about a fair bit so every time the early explorers came across it, they thought they had discovered a new river and would give it another name.
