I always said I'd never have a plastic one in the house,but a few years ago we had an experience with a real one that scared the living bat crap out of me. Whenever I took one out to burn it before,all I could do is burn the needles off one side and it would take til spring to get the whole thing burned up. Til that last one! That sucker went up like a Roman candle. I'd never seen anything burn so fast. Thick black smoke and that thing was GONE in about 20 seconds,all but the trunk. Even the branches were nothing but ashes just that quick. Never again.
