Will never assume that I can get any of my firearms out the gun safe (even unlocked)faster than an intruder in the middle of the night. All my handguns are loaded (+1 in chamber)with safe door open or next to the bed or on my person. Safe locked for company and when we leave. Son grew up shooting and I will pay for his CCW as he turns 21 soon. Will be able to travel more safely the 7 hours to school (VMI) where he will also soon commission as a 2nd Lt in the Army. To defend our country and our rights. I may someday be victimized- but it won't be without a fight!
