I worked for Stde. dealer in 1957. Have owned many over the years. Favorite was 1960 Champ 1/2 ton with 259 ci. V8. Sold the last Silver Hawk in 1986. Was privileged to drive a new Hawk on the test track in South Bend one time. Most Studebaker designs were far ahead of their time in my opinion. The hill holder in the 1940's, the Lowery design of the cars in the early 50's are good examples of that.
