I never was dumb enough to go to dish,had direct since 97. Two of my brothers switched to dish (or should I say their wives switched them) because it was cheaper. One of them got so fed up with poor service from dish he dropped it altogether and only has antenna TV now. I'll stick with direct. Only time we ever had a problem,they came out and installed a whole new system,free of charge and gave us 6 months of free Show Time for the trouble that we had with the old system.
