I recently acquired a Clark Yardlift 20 forklift.
The manual says "Use only straight mineral oil of viscosity similar to SAE 10 engine oil and containing qualities of low pour point, oxidation and rust inhibitors and non-foaming characteristics." Tractor supply appears to carry such a thing (at least per their website.)
Would using modern hydraulic fluid be a better idea or should I stick with what was called for?
(It's all working now but whatever fluid is currently in it nasty. The lift cylinder leaks down so I'm going to replace the leathers in the lift/tilt cylinders.)
