Dear John, My suggestion is different, and in line with good insurance. In front of me on my desktop is a thin calculator sized hard drive. Mine is a Seagate Free Agent, but the brand is not important. It is 1/2 terabyte (500gigabyte). It is plug and play as a USB device and can be used on more than one machine as an external HDD. It also is equipped with auto backup routines that keep your entire file structure (not programs) backed up without personal intervention once it is setup to schedule the backup. (very easy menu driven process) I have them on two computers, and have used them to restore computers that have failed, as well as backups to my Photo archives. They are less than 75 Bucks. What a deal. Jim
