As a retired GM employee, I can't even begin to express the anger I feel toward the government giving a huge chunk of the company to the UAW and leaving all the salaried people hung out to dry. As retirees, we are actually being offered a chance to buy up to 800 shares at the IPO price thru a very convoluted process where we get an email tonight after the IPO is priced and we have until 6:00am Thurs to email yes/no. Problem is, by time stock is bought and paid for, it will be several weeks before I have possession, so it is dead money while price goes up/down.
