We have just moved our premises at work and some small cuttings of copper sheeting are about to be thrown out. Can I use these to make cylinder head gaskets tractor engines (diesel). I thought if ever I had an old gasket that was difficult to get I could use the old one as a template, cut the copper to shape and put it into place with some silicon sealent. I know it might raise the compression ration a little as the thickness is only around 1mm. Any thoughts or should I just let it go to the rubbish skip. Thanks Bill
