You're not alone...I quit 11 months ago. Got a cold and cigarettes didn't taste good so I quit. Miss them a little. Smoked for 40 years. Now, nothing tastes right, I don't breathe much better and almost can't stand the smell of coffee where I used to look forward to it. The only reason that you would eat more is that it gives you something to put in your mouth. You can look at it a couple of ways...at our age, you can say the heck with it, I'm checking out anyhow so I'll smoke or...I'll quit and maybe feel a bit better. When I walk past a person smoking, I hesistate and inhale deeply.
