If he hooks two 12 volt batteries in paralell he doubles the avaiable cranking amps while voltage stays the same (12 volts), if he hooks two in series, he doubles the voltage (12 + 12 = 24) butttttttt the cranking amps is no greater then that of the smaller batterys CCA.
If its a 12 volt truck I WOULD NOT recommend he hook two 12's in series, it will blow bulbs and do other damage.
