My suggestion is to use butyl rubber. It's the same thing the windsheild in your car is glued in with. You can glue laminated glass into your angle iron frames also. When cutting whatever you use leave plenty of space for movement and the butyl will flex. You can buy it in cauling tube form from anyplace that installs windshields.
