if you can catch it on the history channel, there is a new show about restoration, its a spin off from pawn stars, there is one episode where they are restoring a 1940's era candy bar machine the sand blasting was warping the thin metal of some parts, he took it to a place that uses soda to blast, it worked perfect, parts were clean no warpage and no "dents" the soda used came in large bags maybe 100 lbs,
