This board is very experienced and willing to share, so here is my question: joining a wood/asphalt shingle roof for a passageway into the side of the large rib metal tractor storage building, I haven't been able to get a very tight fit between the galvanized metal and the plywood sheathing. I thought maybe I could use scrap rubber used in flat roofing and some glue to make a tight joint that would accept a little flexing of both buildings. What kind of glue and surface prep would you recommend?
