: I recently bought a complete seat assembly for my B. When I got it it was to small for the supports .The serial # shows that it is B but the hood had BN decals Is it possible that it is a BN and that somebody changed the seat? Is there a difference between a B and a BN ? Any help would be appreciated thanks Richard There is a difference between B and BN Farmalls. There is a difference in width of the rear castings, etc. The BN is narrower. You will have to check the books, etc. as to how much. I think, not positive that the B, BN and A are in the same serial no. sequence. I remember that there is some mixing but not positive about models. The way to tell the difference between the B and BN is to look at the seat and see the amount of room between the seat and fender.
