If I lost my job I would be looking for another job the next morning. Over the years I have known people who waited for the company to call back or the market to improve etc. a fair percentage of those people lost everything they had while waiting. You can always draw your unemployment until you find a job and then quit and go back to your current employer if they start back up but I would never sit around waiting for a phone call.
