Hi Soder33: Thanks for the link... The Armistice Day Blizzard was later into November on the 11. (WW-1 ended Nov-11, 1911, at 11AM.) Anyway, back to 1940 Armistice day Blizzard, there was a lot of snow which caused white-outs on highways. Our neighbor died trying to walk from one building out to get some cows nearby after sunset. Couldn't see 10 feet. He froze to death on his knees with hands folded.(praying) Ya remember when ya find a person died praying, like that.. Not too much snow with this but if it had been late Nov and had more moisture to make snow and ice etc.. it would have been a bigger record breaker.. Nearby Sioux Falls, SD set a record of most moisture recieved in any year since records began.. and we've got 2 months to go higher.. Seems we have had weather records being set many times all year.. Enuff.. already. ag.
