If I got tangled in machinery around here, I wouldn't be missed 'til suppertime. Probably would be a blessing if it killed me, rather than suffer for hours.
A sobering thought.
We had a local guy who turned his M International over on himself while mowing. Wife missed him at dark (she worked a day job). When they found him, with flashlights, he'd pulled every blade of grass that he could reach, and clawed the dirt up to him, trying to free himself. By the time they found him he was already dead, but it was obvious that he'd suffered severely before death claimed him.
