greenbeanman said it... back when my grandfather was alive, he's get all antsy when my Dad would get an opportunity weather-wise to plant late april corn... he was never fond of chemicals in crops, and would always say wait til the 20th of May.. they called it "breaking the cycle" just as he posted...
