I understand the frustration but I guess I don't understand why you feel so put out. You have to go in to the post office anyhow to get your mail, so what is the big deal about showing some ID and signing a piece of paper. I don't think I'd be mad at your friends and aquaintances either. They are only doing their job. If they were to lose their job because of you not wanting to abide by the regulations, how would you feel.
