I used Johnsons floor wax on my 55 once by mistake. We had the floor wax and a car wax and the cans looked similar and I just wasn"t paying attention...... It took forever to get it to polish out with no streaks since I was doing it by hand but when I was done it looked awsome. I was getting ready to pull out on a 6 month cruise and was doing it before I left so Dad was the first one to wash it after I got done. He said that it was nearly impossible to wash becuse nearly all of the water beaded and ran off before he could get the rag with the soap on it to the car. Six months later, after setting out all winter, it wasn"t much better and it took the summer and nearly a year before it needed to be waxed again.
Will it work on your son"s car with todays finishes, I don"t know, but I know it made a tougher shell on mine than Turtle wax ever thought about doing.
