I am so sorry for your loss. I know how it feels. I had to have my alasken malamute, Tundra put down about a month ago. That dog was my best friend threw some very hard times in my life. In fact I just spread her ashes in the Porcupine Mountains where we went hiking all the time. About a week after I had her put down a friend of mine sent me a pic of a dog that was at the pound. I really didn"t want a new dog at the time. But I seen on the pic that the pound only keeps the dogs for 14 days before putting them down so I called on the dog in the pic. He was on day 13 and I couldn"t see them putting him down so I took him. He"s been a great dog so far. I think he knows I saved him from death row.
