I haven't rounded up all the parts yet, but I want to build what I call the "hot rod hay rake tractor". "Hot rod hay rake tractor" is related to what I helped my dad put together, which was the "hot rod brush hog tractor" (Hot rod brush hot tractor=JD-60, +.125 power block. LP manifolds, performace cam, roller rockers). What I am wanting to put together is a unstyled JD-A front end with a styled A 6 speed rear end, with a power block and Heisler head engine. I have to have the high gear to help my father in law rake hay which requires some road travel on the shoulder of 4 lane HWY to get to, and I want to be able to go on tractor drives with it.
