Mahindra started as licensed builder of IHC tractors -British models. IHC B250, 275, 414/454? had matching Mahindra models. Old license deal has Mahindra making some spares to IHC specs and currently available through Case/NH/Fiat/McCormic/IHC -whatever they are calling themselves now. Some of the Mahindras go to former IHC dealers in some counties with a lesser tarif because of old agreement, others go to dealers simply because of parts matching and and old IHC mechs and manuals can be used at competitive price, a few get McCormic labels-- this explains some of their export sales. Quality control is supposed to be comparitively good, price on some models very good, old 1980 designs still very usable and newer models have some R&D sharing with British IHC/NH/Case/etc.
