: I have a Farmall M with serial number 120545 XI. : Is there any significance to the serial numbers? : In other words, are some serial numbers worth more : than others? I'm interested in selling it, and I : was wondering if anyone could tell me what an M : with that serial number, in good condition, is : worth? Thank you. It's always nice to visit with another M owner you didn't get much help out of your note. I think in the tractor profiles of the M it told that the xl meant it was a all gas model. It does mean somthing! Your tractor is a late 1946 which should be a stright gas model in my serial # book it does not show the XL I did read somwhere just latly though what that ment wish I could remember. Antwat I bought a 1950 M last year good condition, needed tires nice paint 6v lights worked $1400 sold a wide front 1949 w/power steering and live hyd pump fenders 12v good rubber and paint 2500. Hope that helps e-mail if you want to chat. ERIC
