I recently stumbled upon this Senate bill S 510, supposedly called the "FDA Food Moderization Act." The house version HR 875 passed in 2009 and is currently before the senate. I"m reading it prohibits the growing, trading, selling, storing and more of food, INCLUDING BACKYARD GARDENS, as well as controlling livestock. It also gives the government power to seize control over ALL food sources, of course for "public safety". Now I"ll admit I"m not a lawyer, but google this and browse through some of the search results, it"s rather disturbing.
