Remove the snap ring and pull the shifter lever out of the tranny being VERY careful not to drop the little alignment pins down into the transmission. Now take a big ol" screwdriver and move the shifter forks so the grooves are all lined up nicely in neutral. Reinstall the shift lever and carefully shift into whatever gear you need to get the tractor into the garage. Now, if you want to fix it so it doesn"t do it again, pull the shifter out and build up the tip with weld and grind so that there is a nice fit down in the tranny. May need to replace those pesky little pins if they are loose as well. BTDT with both my WD and WD-45.
