the tractor and the splitter valve is both closed center, i have a JD tractor that is also closed center i use the splitter with as well. i started with an open center valve but it would not work with the JD tractor, someone told me i needed a closed center valve so thats what i got. so with an open center valve on the splitter do i need to run the tractor in float mode or pull the lever back???
Here is a funny thing, i pull my lever back on my JD tractor and it doesn't get in a bind like the new holland does, i've used it all day long and never had any problems. I'll get a open center valve and try it, the new holland works so much faster than the deere i'll use it most of the time anyway.
