This is not Tractor related but is Farm related.Came across this old picture[1934] of an friend of my dad"s who had a Mare with 5 off spring and they were all still on the same farm.By the time I was able to remember any thing about 1943 my dad still had 3 work horses on the farm.I remember them well,when i was 8 I would harness a pair,hook them to a full manure spreader and take it to a future corn field and spread it and then come back and do the same thing all over until the calf pens were all clean.If it was winter I would put the team back in thier stalls for warmth until the next load was ready.Got $.25 per hr. for this work.
