A while ago I had to replace the throttle cable on my JD crawler. After getting sticker shock on jdparts, I looked around for an aftermarket cable, but couldn't find any good source that gave accurate measurements, so I bit the bullet and paid the $110 to get one from deere. The one they gave me was shorter than it should have been and I had to work harder than I would have liked to get it installed.
Now it was time to find a control cable for my winch, and was blown away by JDs price ($210). This time I found a company that makes control cables and sells them factory-direct complete with detailed diagrams and measurements on their website. It only cost me about $60.
I wish I would have found it earlier because I could have got one from them that would have fit better than the deere one for my throttle cable for about half the price.
I just thought I'd mention it in case anyone else finds themselves in the same boat.
