I am a board member of a credit union that just repossesd a car. Payments were over a year past due, and being a credit union made up of friends and neighbors we gave the person every chance possible to make payments,until finally the State auditors ORDERED us to reposess. We then sold the car on sealed bids, to the highest bidder. There was still a balance due..for which the credit union went to court and recieved a JUDGEMENT...we will get our money..and the person has a judgement that will effect future credit applications..that person had/has a job, but chose to be a deadbeat .
