I'm not sure if they repo the car they can still ask for payments, at least not in a bankruptcy. If the car sold and there was additional profit over what was owed and the repo costs, the extra would go back to your sister, I believe. I think the lender can only recover what they were owed plus normal interest and not additional profits. Best to check with a good bankruptcy lawyer or trustee. Dave
