In Wis., a lender is required to sell repo'd vehicle in a 'reasonably commercial manner.' But that is usually at an auto auction. If the repo is by a dealer/finance co. combo, the dealer will usually add 'fix-up' costs to the cost of sale. If the sale is short of the amount owed, the debtor may be sued for the balance. If no other immediate debt problems (ya, right!)wait to see what the car is sold for and how much, if any is owed after sale. Good Luck!
