Well with the proper gearing int he 4 sp and rear axle you will have a very good truck. The 6.2"s was a true diesel designed engine by chevy. Not a gasser switched over. They are easy to work on such as glow plugs and and such. Also the injection pumps are a common unit with parts around to fix them when they need it. I had a 84 with to 270,000 when I sold it. The guy that bought it drove it till the body rotted off. He put the engine into another truck for a guy and its still going. They been knowen to hit 400,000. So if the price is right got for it. Its less power then teh ford 7.3 but still alot better thent eh newer electronic nightmares that some of the newer diesels can be. Bob
