While we're being honest. I was an only child until I was ten and lived in a rather isolated location so I made up my own social world. I had my own group of friends, all imaginary. I learned to talk to myself (and answer) and still do to this day. Once in a while I get caught and have to explain I'm not communicating with outer space. It does come in handy sometimes. I have council of several other opinions before making a decision, like what to sing next.
