Yes I was packing and driving north.
Can remember my daughter calling my dad and pleading that he leave town (he lives in N.O.) this time since he rides out most storms in his house. Good thing she was able to convince him to come with us. His house got about 8 inches of water.
Very sad day in alot of peoples lives. Still a lot of abandoned houses and empty lots 5 years later. Some school kids still in trailer class rooms.
The brush cutter is coming along. Got the deck done and hooked it to the tractor to try it out. Works great. Now I need to put the sides and the rear wheel on. It will be done for grass cutting season next spring :o)
