I cant comment on all areas but around here, the guys who farm ALOT of rented ground, DO drive around with their checkbook and contact landlords and offer to write bigger checks than anyone else. Sometimes they get chased off and sometimes they get the farm. Once they get known for paying high rent, people will seek them out. I guess its whatever works for ya. bill
