The brakes GM uses are fairly cheap. But the replacement rotors the places like CarQuest and Midas sell are even worse - much worse. We couldn't keep the replacement rotors from warping after just a few miles of driving. Several trips to Midas failed to correct the issues. Finally we took it to Chevy and had OEM brake parts put back on - they last about 40k-50K before needed to be compeltely reqieked again.
