Very GOOD point. THe same shortage hit this area, and there was a very simple reason for that shortage. Oil was high so pellets were in big demand while at the same time 90% of the mills that produce pellets were in the process of filing for bankruptcy. The forestry sector is still sitting in the tank here right now. Mills are closed or running at reduced capacity and all are paying very low prices for fiber... so they're not getting much fiber in. Combine that with new initiatives here in NS to set up 200 MW of co-generation at the local pulp mill, fired with biomass... which is basically the feedstock for the pellet mills... and I think one can expect another shortage of pellets on the horizion in at least eastern canada.
