Things are still slow in the building trades in west/central Michigan, but judging by the traffic on the roads after 5:00pm, things are starting to pick up. It's just going to be a long, slow recovery (I think most people expect it to just pop back up and run like it did a couple of years ago). We have worked on very few housing/commercial projects in the last two years. However, big industry (wind, solar, manufacturing, chemicals) and mining is growing very fast and will likely bring some of the other stuff up with it, it will just take time. Michigan was one of the first to go down, it will probably be one of the last to come back up. It takes a long time to replace 500,000 jobs in 5-10 increments.
