I hear what you're saying but I keep finding quite the opposite. Mind you, I know very few rich people I seem to see them everywhere. Which is especially weird in Michigan. We looked at new RV's in the spring and the salesman told me they were selling 15 a day on sat and sun a few less during the week. Went and looked again in July and they were still selling them as fast as they could. I commented that it was good and I was surprised they suvived 2009. The salesman laughed at me! He said 09 was his best year ever of selling new units!! Went out west for vacation in June and had ral case of "RV Envy". Everywhere you look are $100k plus pusher diesels and not all the owners are old timers. Every restaurant in town is full in the evening. I never seen so many new combines, grain trucks, and pickups. So there are some real contradictions. Plus, as one of my rich neighbors said, there is still a lot of money out there its just being held back in caution.
