Pat: glad to see that you still post here. Did you graduate from Coby or are you returning? Just stop and think; 15 years back there were Farm Machinery Dealers spread all over the Northeast. Today JD has 2 Mega Dealers HRT and CEC. Every year has to get better on their books because they swallowed up the family owned dealerships, shut them down, forced farmers to pay their price. Same deal with CNH except they swallowed multi brands. The other fact is that the urban market is the driving force in their volume of business. Look in their yards, most of the inventory is geared that market. No lines of 120 plus tractors, combines and big tillage equipment. Mostly compacts and tractors up to 65-70 HP.

Today's Featured Article - Restoration Story: Fordson Major - by Anthony West. George bought his Fordson Major from a an implement sale about 18 years ago for �200.00 (UK). There is no known history regarding its origins or what service it had done, but the following work was undertaken alone to bring it up to show standard. From the engine number, it was found that this Major was produced late 1946. It was almost complete but had various parts that would definitely need replacing.
