Let me tell you a story of an 05 F350 June of this year with 73K started overheating pulling 39 ft 5th wheel rv (12K lbs.) Oil cooler blown, Ford also informed me that they would not replace the oil cooler without replacing EGR cooler also (not covered by extended warranty, $500 extra bucks. I asked about head gaskets and they said they did not go that far into the engine. I told them to go further, gaskets on both heads were going so replaced under warranty total bill $4800 I paid 800. July 20 in Valley Al, transmission starts slipping and just made it to Ford dealership. 6 days later and $4k more (also covered by extended warranty) back on the road to Texas. Only thing left to repair/replace is transfer case and front and rear diff then should have rebuilt truck. Would like to take this time to acknowledge King Ford in Valley Al. NEVER had such good service from any dealer or independant garage. Wrote FoMoCo to praise them.
